Best Western Plus Hotel Carlton

Wish I could give the service ten stars. The front desk staff and housekeeping were AMAZING. I was a little disappointing, nothing wrong with it but it was small for being an executive room, and the AC didn't work very well. But it was charming and the view from the balcony was great. Good location just outside the chaos of old town, plenty close to walk to though.

The Best Western Plus Carlton is well located if you want to explore the old town and main points of interest in Annecy. It’s right next to the train station and just a short 5-10 min walk to the pedestrian-friendly area near the lake. Though in a lively area, the hotel itself was very quiet, which made for a peaceful and relaxing stay. There are several parking options—either directly through the hotel or, for a more affordable choice, at the underground Parking Poste just across the street. The area also felt safe at all hours, with plenty of shops and amenities nearby. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, providing a city map and a list of recommended restaurants, which was a nice touch. All in all, this place is a great base for exploring Annecy, whether you're arriving by train or car. Highly recommend for convenience, comfort, and location.

The restaurant recommended by the lady at the front desk was closed, and the parking instructions were not helpful. The room was clean and nice, but there was only one bottle of water provided for two people. The bathrobes and slippers were fluffy and comfortable, which was a plus.
