What didn't I like? Lack of blackout curtains and the use of syrup based coffee machines. Apart from that, wow! If all BW were like this it would be my favourite chain Ample free parking, friendly and efficient reception. Room big enough, new and spotless. Powerful shower, excellent noise insulation, also to the corridor which is rare in hotels. Good internet. Climate control in the room so I don't get the Aircon comment Breakfast held no surprise good or bad. Restaurant was surprisingly decent. Good moules-frites, nice steak! Bit more bread would have been nice but oh well. All in all recommended, would definitely visit again
A modern and well-equipped business hotel with a welcoming atmosphere. The room was functional yet cozy, and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean and well-maintained, with a consistent, modern design. The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast exceeded our expectations – very generous, varied, and with plenty of healthy options. The location is slightly outside the center, but parking is readily available. The bathroom felt a bit sterile, but it was functional. Overall, we were very satisfied and would definitely stay again.
Very Disappointing Stay – Serious Decline in Standards Our family has stayed at the Best Western Plus Odense Hotel several times over the years, but unfortunately, our most recent visit was by far the worst, and deeply disappointing in many respects. When we checked into our first room, we were shocked by the lack of basic hygiene. The bathroom ceiling was covered with hair, awkwardly and visibly stuck across multiple surfaces, creating an unsettling first impression. The sink and shower drain were also clearly unclean, which made the space feel unsanitary and neglected. We requested to move rooms, and this was accommodated, but the issues continued. Before leaving for the evening, we placed the “Please clean the room” sign on our door, expecting it to be serviced by the time we returned. However, when we came back late at night with our young son, exhausted and ready to sleep, we found the room untouched. No towels had been replaced, the room had not been cleaned, and we were left scrambling. I had to walk all the way to reception just to request clean towels, which should never happen at this level of hotel. To add to the list of concerns, we noticed the bed linen had been placed upside down, another indication of careless housekeeping and a lack of attention to detail. This stay fell far below what we expect from a Best Western Plus property, and far below what we have experienced here in the past. Cleanliness, attention to detail, and guest care are fundamental, and this visit failed on all three counts. We hope management takes this feedback seriously, as it reflects an unacceptable decline in quality and service.
