I stayed there with my husband on June 29th 2025. By mistake I booked the room on wrong dates. But the lady at the front desk was quite helpful. She accomodated us in the same rate although it was a weekend.She was just fantastic. The hotel was on a great location, nearer to hauptbahnhof. The room was neat and sfficiently lighted. It was an excellent stay. I would reccomend others to book it..Thanks Best Western Plus Hotel St. Raphael
Location was good at least it was close to center. However the trains make you uncomfortable because you hear the noise and also feel the vibration on the ground especially while sleeping. We booked queen size room but it was too small. The hotel is too old fashioned. It did not feel like a 4 star hotel.
The hotel looks a lot better in the pictures. The actual rooms are smaller than in the pictures (you can barely stand beside the bed). The main issue was the cleaning. My partner's bed sheets were probably not changed as they still had hairs from the previous pair of guests (I guess?). Also, we were woken up at 8 with knocks in the door by the cleaning service on the day of the checkout (what was the reason for this???). They also knocked again at 9, at which point we just gave up on sleeping. Seemed quite rude. Was not good value for the money in my opinion.
