Best Western Plus Hotel Universo

might be the top Best Western Hotel we've ever stayed at. Very clean room/comfortable bed excellent amenities. Staff was very helpful, room was even ready before noon. Hotel location is perfect for easy access to Roma Termini and very doable walks to most Rome sites. We even walked to the Vatican in about 30 minutes. Highly recommended

I’ve travelled extensively and can honestly say Hotel Universo is one of the best city break hotels I’ve stayed in. The service is second to none — warm, professional, and attentive from start to finish. The hotel is perfectly located, right in the heart of everything, yet so quiet at night. The restaurant is beautiful, and breakfast was absolutely superb — such a wide choice, all so fresh and lots of choice. I also had room service during my stay, and I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever eaten pastries and biscuits as fresh, delicate, and perfectly made as those I enjoyed here. The room was spotless and had the most amazing touches including the softest towelling robe I think I have ever worn in a hotel. A small but memorable touch — on my return trip, I was up very early (around 2 a.m.) and came down to reception at about 3 a.m. Everything was closed, but the gentleman on reception could not have been more kind and accommodating — he happily made me a much-needed cup of tea, which was greatly appreciated at that hour. In short — an incredible hotel. I truly can’t fault it. I will absolutely return and would recommend it without hesitation.

This hotel is in an ideal location, 5 minute walk from Rome Termini, and about 10-25 minute walk from all the major sights of Rome. Many great local restaurants and local eateries within a 5-15 minute of the hotel. The hotel staff was friendly. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet in the morning was just what we needed to start off the day. I’ve ready other reviews about the surrounding area not being safe or filled with many homeless people….but that’s not true. I felt safe walking around the neighborhood at all hours of the day/night and saw very minimal homeless people. Rome is. Major city so it’s expected to see a few but I assure you the hotel is in a safe area. Many of the homeless were close to Rome termini and far enough away from the hotel.
