Best Western Plus Santa Cecilia Pachuca

Stayed here in early March '23 for two nights for a wedding. Solid 5 stars across the board. I worked in hospitality for 20 years and the front desk, gift shop, bar and restaurant service was absolutely fantastic. The location is great as well. Just a few minutes to the soccer stadium.

Oct/11/23: Very comfortable rooms. Spent a very good and relaxing stay, although I didn't have time to taste breakfast! Oct/15/23: Rooms still very nice. Awesome amenities. This time I had chance to breakfast, great meal and great service! Downside this time was the service at the front desk (lousy), perhaps because of a local event that was the hotel saturated.

The hotel is really good itself, rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. I’ve stayed here in several occasions and it has been good most of the time. However, I am currently staying during New Year’s Eve and it is an absolute disappointment. The hotel hosts a New Year’s celebration which is great, yet unfortunately the celebration creates a rather uncomfortable environment. The service quality decreases, the parking lot is filled to an unacceptable capacity since the cars barely fit and are easily exposed to crashes since it is almost impossible to park comfortably. In addition, it seemed as if they do not prioritize the guests since I arrived and they told me that there was no longer a place for me to park "because of the hotel guests who attended the celebration and THEIR GUESTS who are not necessarily staying in the hotel." On the other hand, the volume of the music for the celebration is excessive, as the rooms vibrate with the sound and the music is heard loudly, disturbing the stay of the guests who are trying to sleep. I think it's important to remember that it's a hotel and I swear I felt like I was in a club. Im not saying that the event shouldn’t be organized, I mean, it is good that the event is organized since New Year is an important celebration, but it seems pertinent to ensure good service and the comfort of the stay at all costs, and unfortunately, it was not a comfortable stay at all in my experience. Therefore, if you are planning to stay here during any festive day that consists of a celebration taking place within the hotel, I would recommend finding another hotel🫤🤷🏼‍♂️
