Best Western Premier Calgary Plaza Hotel & Conference Centre

This is not a Five star hotel; it is a three star hotel with Five star service and accommodation. Room service was fast and hot and tasty, and the women in charge is great. Cleaning staff were very good; the counter staff were professional and helpful, and the meeting rooms comfortable. The meals we had were fantastic. I’d be happy to come here again. If you do come, you’ll get a kick out of the sultry elevator voice when it says, “lobby” :)

I stayed here for a week at the end of April 2025. The hotel is in a fantastic location very close and walking distance to shops. T and T market, pharmacies and restaurants are nearby and within walking distance. Parking is lovely and there is no charge for parking. The hotel provides fruit infused water in the lobby and that is very welcome. My room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable. The pillows were also comfortable. This hotel provides good quality shampoo and conditioner so you do not have to bring any. They also provide shower cap and other thoughtful amenities . In the kitchenette , there is a mini refrigerator and a microwave and they provide a kettle and a coffee maker with a good choice of tea and coffee selections. The hotel provides a bathrobe and a makeup mirror, which are very welcome . Housekeeping was excellent. They actually clean your room and make your bed every day. This is hard to come by these days in most hotels in North America. The swimming pool and hot tub are lovely but during my stay there were tons of kids and so I was only able to use it twice. Front desk was very helpful and friendly.

Attended a wedding. The food was excellent. But it was way too much work figuring out what was gluten free. I was told items were gluten free but they weren't. I was told I was the only gluten free person at the venue, then the bride and groom said there were many. Other foods were labeled like meat, or eggs, dairy, or vegan. Gluten could easily have been displayed too. The servers were pleasant and kind when I kept asking about gluten free--- just not informed. Venue - also good, and parking was no problem.
