Best Western Shalimar Praia Hotel

I found the location to be very convenient, as it's close to both downtown and the airport. The room was spacious, and the breakfast was quite good, especially the tapioca. The pool area is really lovely. Unfortunately, I was only able to stay for one night, which meant I missed out on fully enjoying the hotel’s amenities.

Food was not good, front desk service horrible! Pool was absolutely dirt…we pay more to have an ocean view, they gave to us a parking lot view… Do Not Stay There!

I couldn’t stay more than one night. Our departure was motivated by the inadequate condition of the room we were given. The room had a bad odor and was musty, the air conditioning was poorly maintained and dirty, and the single bed was stained and smelled, as if someone had slept in wet clothes. In addition, the bathroom had a strong odor of urine. I have severe respiratory problems and, during the only night I spent at the hotel, I had an attack that prevented me from sleeping. The room we were given was the "least worst" available at the time. When I reported the situation to reception, they were understanding and tried to help, offering the option of a refund. It’s been a month and I’m yet to see the refund. Recently I contacted the hotel, and Fernanda told me that they wouldn’t issue the refund anymore. I have been trying to contact them, but they just ignore my messages. If you have respiratory issues, and care for the room more than the pool area, DO NOT STAY IN THIS PLACE.
