The hotel's location was perfect, within walking distance of many attractions." "The room was spacious and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and a great view." "I was impressed by the impeccable service and the overall ambiance of the hotel."
The hotel was clean and well-maintained, but it’s clearly showing its age with outdated decor and facilities. The staff was courteous, and the overall ambiance was pleasant. However, the major downside was a clogged washbasin in the bathroom, which made it inconvenient to use. While the issue wasn’t a dealbreaker, it definitely needs attention. A bit of modernization and better maintenance could elevate the experience.
Extremely Disappointing Stay at Hotel Regalia, Tirupati – Complaint About Poor Facilities & Unprofessional Staff Behavior I recently stayed at Hotel Regalia, Tirupati, and I must express my deep dissatisfaction with the current state of the hotel and the service provided. This was my second stay here — my first visit two years ago was pleasant, which is why I chose to come back. However, this time, the experience was completely unacceptable and far below the standards expected from any reputable hotel. Major Issues Faced: • The hotel is now completely worn out and poorly maintained. • Broken flooring, damaged shower cubicles, and shattered mirrors in the bathrooms made the stay very uncomfortable. • The rooms were infested with cockroaches and were very unhygienic overall. • There were no functioning switchboards, no proper safety locks, and worst of all, no intercom or telephone connection. We had to use our personal mobile phones to reach the reception or room service — which is completely unacceptable. • No proper hot water facility was provided throughout our stay. Checkout Issue: On the day of checkout, around 12:30 PM, we informed one of your staff members that we would be checking out shortly. He clearly told us that it was okay to stay until around 2:30 PM. Based on that, my husband checked out around 2:00 PM. However, the receptionist, Ms. Anusha, confronted us rudely, demanding an extra ₹1000 and threatening to deduct it directly from our credit card. Her behavior was highly unprofessional, disrespectful, and aggressive. If late checkout was not allowed, the staff should have clearly communicated it and informed us in person — but they didn’t. Instead, we were misled by a staff member and then blamed for it by the front desk. This is completely unfair and unacceptable. Additional Note: To be honest, I had even thought of documenting the poor state of the rooms with photos — the cockroaches, broken cubicles, untidy bathrooms, and overall filth — and posting it publicly. But I refrained at the time, thinking that it may not be the staff’s fault, but rather the poor management or ownership of the hotel. I chose to ignore it. However, after the way I was treated by your receptionist, I have changed my mind. I will be posting a detailed public review online on Google and other platforms, highlighting the condition of the hotel and our experience — including the unjustified threat of extra charges and the lack of basic amenities and hygiene. ⸻ In summary, Hotel Regalia has fallen far from its earlier standards. If any unauthorized amount is deducted from my card, I will take this matter up with my bank and raise a formal complaint with consumer protection authorities. I strongly urge hotel management to take this feedback seriously and make immediate improvements — especially with regard to staff training and guest communication.
