We didn't stay in the hotel because I own a home in a nearby town. But we ate here twice with friends. The steaks are amazing here and the pizza is so good!!! If you're in Lagonegro this restaurant is worth a stop by. The service is good. A little bit of a wait for food the 2nd time but the steaks are tender, perfectly seasoned, huge in portion and the wine is Buono! We got the picanhu steaks, Frisella with Anchovies and fennel and the Americano pizza.

This hotel is amazing, and it was a life saver for us! If you are driving between Reggio Calabria and Naples Italy and you are a weary traveler, this is the perfect stop! Right off the E 45 in Lagonegro PZ Italy. It's beautiful, modern, very clean and affordable! Very friendly reception!

We stayed for two nights at the BHotel in Lagonegro in December 2023. We are retirees and experienced travellers. We currently hold the Ambassador status in the Bonvoy fidelity programme (100 nights a year); we have collected well above a thousand Bonvoy nights since joining the programme in 2010 and in the current year (2023) we spent already more than 130 nights in hotels (Bonvoy and other hotels). We are quite satisfied with our stay at the BHotel. The quality of the hotel largely exceeded our expectations. We chose the hotel for two reasons: to break a transfer by car from Siena to Siracusa in Sicily and to visit the Tyrrhenian coast around Maratea. From this point of view the location of the hotel is good, just a kilometre away from the local motorway (A2, Salerno-Reggio Calabria). The hotel could also be used as place to stay when visiting the famous Certosa di San Lorenzo in Padula (25 km away along the motorway). We had booked a “Comfort room” and the room we were offered, room 215, justified this description. The room had everything we look for in an hotel room. The bed was good even if its width was at the lower end of what can be called a King-size bed: 1.80 metres. Ideally, we look for two-metre-wide beds (like the one we have at home), but 1.80 was acceptable. There was a very wide surface under the TV screen that served as the indispensable writing desk (with a comfortable armchair) and as a useful surface where to leave things. The writing desk had two electric plugs well above the desk (and not below it where, unfortunately, they are placed in some older hotels). Next to the writing desk there was a space where to place a piece of luggage, while a square ottoman could be used for another suitcase or as a sitting place. The room was very spacious. Some of this space could have been taken by another armchair like the one for the writing desk. The room had a good-sized safe where we could put our laptop, iPads, documents and video camera. In addition, there were two cupboards with plenty of space to hang stuff and six shelves. The bathroom was not very spacious, but it had everything one could need. And it was clearly brand new. The room had a balcony with a table and two chairs. We were impressed by the quality of the acoustic insulation of the windows. When the windows were closed no sound was coming from the street. Breakfast was more than adequate considering the low number of guests that could have been at the hotel in December. The room, that serves also as a restaurant, is very nice with decent-sized tables and enough distance between the tables. We could not use the restaurant as it opened at 8 p.m. and we prefer to have dinner much earlier than that. There is not a bar within the hotel, but there is a good coffee shop, serving drinks and some food, in the same building and within the compound of the hotel. It is open from six a.m. to midnight. Finally, the hotel has a small underground garage (its use costs 15 euro), thing very important for us as we travel with a lot of luggage.
