Bianca Beach Family Resort

I booked the penthouse suite but was never given the penthouse suit because they claimed the elevator was not functional. There was no empathy or apology . The apartment was neat and overlooking the marina and the beach. There are security personnel around so it’s pretty secure. They sent me some chocolates and a rose on New Year’s Eve. That was cute.

Well, the 5 stars in some descriptions are definitely way too much. It's a half rundown apartment hotel. As is common in cheap places like this there were quite a few things missing. Plenty of plates but only one knife to eat with. Cups extremely small for both coffee and especially tea. Carving knives as dull as dull can be. TV with bad picture and not many international channels. Fair to say is that after all it wasn't as bad as it sounds. Contrary to a few earlier comments the staff were all very nice! Rooms were clean and comfortable and we got a fantastic view over the beach and the city. Very nice indeed. A plate of fresh fruit and a couple of water bottles were appreciated after the journey. We haven't tried the restaurants linking the promenade but they look a lot like the usual tourist traps you find around the world. A tip is to walk into the less touristic parts of Agadir and find the more local restaurants. Restaurant Daffy in Rue des Orangers was a gem! Staff was very friendly, food cheap and SO tasty and not a tourist in sight (apart from us...)

Worst hotel experience of my life: Me and my 4 friends arrived there at about 7pm from a car trip of 9 hours. Staff receptionist was a bit rude but mostly slow. Check-in took 1.5 hours during which time the poor guy who was accompanying us to the room realized the room they assigned to us was already in use and had to buy time while someone else would bring him the key card for the new room... When we finally got into the room, so it was around 8.30pm, it looked like it has been cleaned two minutes before: windows were open and towels (all of them) were missing. We called the reception multiple times and only at 00:30, when we were already done showering, someone finally brought us the bloody towels. For a 5 star superior hotel the room was not anything like that: doors closed badly with ruined/broken finishes, water taps that weren't fixed to the sink (they moved around when you tried to open them). The AC worked fine while the WiFi had cover only in the living room. The view from our room was pretty nice, with one side on the beach of Agadir (as you can see in the photo) while on the other there was the harbour. The private beach has 20 umbrella at most, so you need to go there early in the morning to find one available. No chances in the afternoon. Since the beach wasn't an option we went to the pool: even that completely full and also with rave like level of music: perfect for someone who only wants to relax... At least the parking was included in the room price...
