I really enjoyed my stay - nice staff, the sauna room was beautiful and the breakfast was excellent.

Ate at the hotel for dinner. Odd menu and never could figure out what we were eating and the wait times between courses were too long. The server was great, but the bald man at the reception was quite rushed and seated us at the back despite having made a reservation.

I visited Billingehus for breakfast with my retired mother, arriving 15 minutes before breakfast service ended. Upon arrival, the receptionist informed us that we needed to collect our food quickly, as it would be cleared away shortly. Following the instructions, we gathered our food. My mother, who is 150 cm tall, took two small pieces of candy and put them in her pocket as her plate was full. To our shock, a member of the serving staff publicly called her out in front of the entire restaurant, berating and embarrassing her. Despite being stunned, we sat down to eat. A few minutes later, more staff approached our table and demanded to see our receipt, treating us as though we were thieves! We explained that we had already paid at reception, and we saw the initial staff member storm off towards reception, once again making a scene in front of the other guests. Needless to say, we were shocked, embarrassed, and deeply saddened by the behavior of the staff at Billingehus. We later spoke to the manager, who gave us the typical excuses from the "manager's handbook." But honestly, how dare they embarrass and shout at an elderly woman in front of everyone? My mother was so embarassed and sad that she proceeded to cry in the car after the service. We absolutely do not recommend anyone dine here. If you do, be prepared for public humiliation. If you have a car, drive 10 minutes to "Knistad Herrgård" near Skövde instead. The staff are excellent, the service is outstanding, and the food is far superior. Shame on you, Billingehus.
