Great place. The sidewalks could me more clear for people with disabilities. They were pretty rough for my guy’s mobility scooter, but some really great people were helpful to us and appreciated the help given.
I have stayed at the Double Dog Inn several times and I absolutely love it. The beds and linens are clean and comfortable, the wi-fi is fast, and the view is beautiful. They have an on site chef who makes your meals- and let me tell you, they are tasty! Meals are served in a community dining room and it gives you the chance to meet new people while you are there. It's a very unique experience- one that will have you coming back again and again!
It’s a beautiful home. It’s a perfect set up for large parties. We arrived on 2.16.23 and left on 2.20.2023. Maintenance was working on it when we arrived to town around 3:41 PM. So happy they were doing needed repairs. They allowed us in at 5:09 pm which was 2 hours after check in. Red River had Many inches of snow the prior 3 days. We do understand that maintenance is part of staying in a home or owning a home. Totally understandable. The first two nights we had heater issues and they came out immediately to help. There were also leaks in a few different places in the home. In the bathroom off the master, we started with one trash can to catch the water and ended up with 3 in the room by the time we checked out. With the leaks being right off the master, it was a bit like listening to water torture every night. We understood there was nothing they could do about the leaks if, in fact, they were roof leaks. We had no idea where the water was coming from. And once again maintenance was at the door as quickly as we notified them, asking for more trash cans to catch the water. He was very nice and professional and he did apologize. I guess it was just a little disappointing that we were never offered any type of credit or an apology from management. I would still book the Double Dog Inn if we had a large gathering. It’s truly a beautiful home and maintenance was on it!
