It’s clear that this hotel has seen better days, as evidenced by the hasty rebranding of the current operator, with taped-up printed signs and odd laminated notes scattered around the common areas. However, it still offers enjoyable leisure activities like a pool, billiards, and table soccer. Most impressively, the breakfast was the best we’ve had in Italy in recent years!
Check-in was quick and the staff at the reception were friendly and helpful — a good start. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was disappointing. The room was outdated and showed clear signs of wear and tear. The kitchenette had barely any equipment, making it useless for basic self-catering. Cleanliness was a major issue: the bathroom didn’t seem properly cleaned for a long time, which was quite unpleasant. Breakfast was okay in terms of selection, but the dining room was extremely loud and overcrowded — not a relaxing atmosphere at all. The hotel restaurant didn’t impress either: the pizza was under average. There are also several downsides: the staff speaks very limited English, pool towels cost extra, and the pool water was so heavily chlorinated that we developed red rashes after swimming. Be aware that the area around the hotel is very quiet — there are no restaurants or bars nearby. On the plus side, there’s a bus stop within walking distance, which makes it easier to get to other parts of the city. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again. The friendly service was appreciated, but it couldn’t make up for the many issues.
Nice hotel with a nice location. Unfortunately i must mention very poor hygiene in the restaurant and terrible behavior of the head waiter at breakfast. I am very sorry for such an experience.
