Absolutely Outstanding Stay! Graham, his son and the rest of the team went above and beyond to make our visit unforgettable. Their genuine hospitality and attention to detail were top-notch—they truly made sure we had everything we needed. The Hotel – The accommodations were perfect for our family of four. The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk to the shopping center, bus and train stations, and a variety of restaurants. The rooms were modern, comfortable, and equipped with all the amenities we could ask for. The Restaurant & Bar – Excellent selection of food and drinks with a wide variety of options. They were incredibly accommodating of gluten allergies, which was a big plus. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a hearty breakfast before exploring, and a relaxing place for dinner and drinks in the evening. Our stay far exceeded any expectations we had before arriving. When we return to Inverness, there's no question—we’ll be staying at Blackfriars again. Bonus Tip – There’s a laundry service just two doors down that delivers clean, folded clothes back to the hotel. It was the cherry on top during our extended holiday!
We only went there for lunch but we heard great things about the rooms. This review is for the staff and food. Absolutely amazing burgers and tasty fish and chips not to mention the soup of the day which was excellent! The staff was super friendly and welcoming! They also serve breakfast starting 7-7:30 am. We highly recommend this place!
We stopped here for dinner on a tour with our chorus. The food was amazing and had such great flavor. The service was paced well with the soup, bread, entrees, and dessert. I am impressed that there was a gluten/dairy free soup option. It was broccoli cauliflower. Our dinner was a pork chop, mashed potatoes, and a salad. Then dessert was a fruit tart topped with ice cream. Tonight, a live band played, and they were great also. Some of us got up and danced. Thank you for the memorable dinner tonight. Everyone should go check out Blackfriars when you are visiting Inverness.
