Blanket Bay

We spent the last three days of our honeymoon here and it was lovely! The views from the lodge are unmatched and the helicopter pickup on the lawn at the resort is very cool. They also have kayaks and bikes you can use to cruise around and beautiful walking trails on the property. The food and service were also impeccable. Highly recommend for a relaxing romantic getaway.

We spent the last few days of our honeymoon at Blanket Bay and truly felt that we ended on a high note. The rooms are very luxurious yet cozy and inviting, and the views of the Bay and surrounding mountains are incredible. The pre-dinner drinks and canapés were exceptional and the food was some of the best and most creative that we saw while in NZ. The staff there were super friendly and helpful in trying to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Our only complaint is that we eventually had to leave!

We are experienced travelers. Our agent, Lucy R. at Scott Dunn Travel, tried to schedule Blanket Bay as the last lodge on our two week trip to New Zealand. Scheduling isues resulted in Blanket Bay being the first lodge on the trip. Whether Blanket Bay is the first lodge, middle lodge or last lodge on your trip, stay there!! The location, property and lodge are absolutely fabulous. Everything about the lodge just works. The staff is caring and courteous. The cocktail hour and meals that are included in the room rate and beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The rooms are each unque and exceptionally comfortable. All the common areas are inviting. This lodge and its staff are gems. If possible, don't miss Blanket Bay on your trip to NZ
