Great hotel perfectly built in front of a lake, surrounded by hills and woods. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

Very nice hotel. Clean room. The bathroom ventilation is not very good. It stays warm/moist very long after you shower. Airconditioning would be great. Breakfast en dinner buffet are very good. Diemelsee is a nice place to stay. Small town with no shops/grocery store/bakery. You need a car if you stay here. Nice swimming pool in the little town. Hotel is very good for kids. There is an inside and outside playground.

Great breakfast buffet, some of the staff are competent and friendly, some even are both. Rooms are large, but one of two wasn't ready, even at 4 PM. No wine card at all, only open wines, none of them palatable. Bar not open on Mondays and Tuesdays, but someone from reception switched the lights on for us and we could drink our own wine. That was most appreciated. Spa area okay, but the pool is tiny. Very limited menu, and some of the dishes were "out". Which meant we had to eat from the buffet. At least the dishes were hot.... Tiny niggles most of them, but it kept adding up. Definitely NOT a four star experience....
