It is very quiet, private, and luxurious. The pool is absolutely amazing, the beach is at 10 minutes walking slow. I loved how everything was clean, organized and ready for tourist. I found everything I needed here including excellent internet connection to work with lots of comfort.
We've stayed at Reef 1, unit 12, in August 2024. The entire stay was arranged and managed by Coral & Coco management company. From the airport taxi booking to day-to-day communication - it was a spotless experience! They were very responsive over WhatsApp before and during our stay at the resort. The unit was ready and tidy upon our arrival. The suite has very modern minimalist design with European appliances. Lots of natural light coming thought huge covered deck/balcony. The most pleasant time to be on the deck is in the morning when the sun is still behind the villas, otherwise it's too hot to enjoy the view even at night. Speaking of the views - not all units would have an open view of the sea, ours had a limited angled view but still enjoyable enough. We saw some reviews complaining about construction nearby. The entire resort is under a huge development project and yes, some areas are still very much a construction site. Having said that, it did not really bother us as it was not too noisy and was partially covered by the walls and palm trees. The Blue Bay beach is wonderful and one of the best on the island (we visited four others during our stay). As short-stay resident, you get a free pass with beach towels but it's best to rent a car to get to the beach even though it's less than 5 minutes away. The resort is also near two large supermarkets, closest being about 8 minutes away by car. It was our first time in Curacao and we enjoyed it way more than Aruba (which we visited three times in the past). By comparison, Curacao is less crowdy and more cultural, lots to explore an see. Definitely coming back in the near future!
Appalling Experience – Security Staff Are a Humiliation to This Place From the moment we arrived, it was clear this establishment has no standards, starting with the disgraceful security staff at the gate. These individuals are shockingly unqualified, untrained, and outright rude. We waited in line for over 10 minutes because the watchman couldn’t figure out how to use a simple QR code scanner. It was embarrassing to witness such incompetence. Worse than their ignorance is their attitude—aggressive, unfriendly, and completely devoid of basic manners. There was no greeting, no guidance, just eye-rolling, yelling, and condescending behavior. These are not professionals. They are poorly educated bullies with zero understanding of hospitality or respect for guests. It’s appalling that management allows these people to represent the property. They don’t belong at the front gate of a hospitality venue—they belong nowhere near guests. If this is how they treat visitors from the start, imagine the rest of the experience. We left feeling disrespected and disgusted. Avoid this place entirely unless you enjoy being treated like a problem rather than a guest.
