I stayed for 3 nights and was pleased for the most part. However, The electronic locks on the doors of the room need reconfiguration. I had to go to the front desk two to three times a day because my door card wouldn’t work. One of the front desk attendants informed me that upper level management was made aware of the ongoing issue, but hasn’t felt compelled to update the system.

The hotel is very run-down. The furniture is old and scratched. The hallway carpets are torn, with holes, and dirty, very dirty. The room floors are dirty; you can feel the sand when you walk. The walls and ceilings are cracked (Room 238). We didn't have shampoo or soap in the bathroom; I had to go down to reception to get them. The air conditioning doesn't work at night; it only blows warm air, and it works during the day, which is crazy. The breakfast is basic; they run out of food and take a long time to replenish it, and the staff is grumpy. They ran out of drinks, and the staff drank a juice halfway through and brought it back. I won't return to that chain. The only thing that changes is the brand, but the building is in very bad condition. Bad experience. Cheap is expensive.

Ehhh. Wow. This place was.. pretty bad. I stayed here for two nights, and upon check in, the room smelled very musty and damp. Housekeeping was very obviously trying to cover it up with a strong air freshener. I was told that this damp smell was normal on the Gulf Coast, but I got the chance to smell other rooms in the hotel, and not a single one smelled THAT damp. Not mildewy. Just damp and very humid. More than what was normal. In fact, at some points, the humidity outside was more bearable than inside. The air conditioner did not work despite showing us meaningless numbers, and the bathroom door did not close tight “due to the humidity”. Bullcrap. Don’t stay here unless you’re a Florida/Gulf Coast native and are prepared for the damp atmosphere.
