Blue Lantern Inn A Four Sisters Inn

I chose Blue Lantern Inn for my bachelorette weekend in Dana Point and it was absolutely dreamy! I had the pleasure of working with the Group & Special Events Coordinator, Carmen Hoffarth, who created our room block with special accommodations for my friends, which she did without hesitation when I asked (despite it causing more work for her on the back end). My party flew in from out-of-state and they were totally blown away by the views of the harbor, which were spectacular, and the quality of the breakfast and happy hours. The food was much better than you'd get at a typical hotel... homemade and hearty. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Loved our stay. The views were stunning, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and both the breakfast and wine reception food were delicious. It’s a short, flat walk to many restaurants in the Lantern District (Truly Pizza was awesome). Walking to Baby Beach or the harbor below the inn will require a long, steep walk back up. We walked from the Blue Lantern along the Dana Point Preserve, stopping at the nature center, then continuing all the way to Young’s Beach Shack for a late lunch before walking back to the Blue Lantern. It was about 5 miles round trip and well worth it for the views. We will definitely be returning to the Blue Lantern.

Stayed here for a few days to relax and reset. This was my first time staying at a cute, little bed & breakfast at the recommendation of my in-laws and I was very impressed. This place sits on a quiet but nice lookout over Dana Point beach. Breakfast is served in the morning - where I had the best bacon in my life (seriously, try it). I also loved that they served cheese, crackers, cookies, tartlets and wine in the afternoon. My only issue was that the rooms are not soundproof to the noise outside. Both nights I stayed here, you could very much hear the loud riffraff that was going on in the main room, even after supposed quiet hours after 10pm. You can also hear the doors slam when people enter/leave their rooms. The carpet in our room was also a bit stained. Bathroom is huge, bed is comfy, staff is nice.
