I recently stayed at this hotel in Corfu and while there were some fantastic aspects, a few key issues left me disappointed. On the positive side, the location is ideal – close to many attractions, and the views are absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the sight of the sea each morning was unforgettable. The staff were also extremely friendly and always willing to help, which added a welcoming touch to the stay. However, several things did not meet the expectations of a 4-star hotel. There were no irons in the rooms, which is a basic amenity for most travelers. Drinks were served in plastic cups – not only did this feel cheap, but it also raised concerns from an environmental perspective. One of the more serious issues was the lack of toilet facilities at the upper pool bar. This is not only inconvenient but also raises concerns about hygiene standards, especially in a space where food and drinks are being served. Additionally, guests are charged for pool towels, and sun beds on the beach cost €15 per day – a fee that feels excessive and inappropriate for a hotel of this rating. Overall, while the hotel’s location and staff were excellent, the lack of key amenities and unexpected extra charges significantly detracted from the experience. With some improvements, particularly around facilities and guest comfort, it could live up to its potential.
Do I think the "All Inclusive" is brilliant - no. What about the views, are they lovely - yes. What's the entertainment like in the hotel - there isn't any, you have to go down to the Poseidon Bar, where drinks aren't free but you supposedly get a discount. All things considered would I come here again - no. Would I recommend it - no. Would I say it is 4* - no.
I am deeply dissatisfied with my recent stay at the Blue Princess Beach Hotel & Suites. Unfortunately, both the hotel and resort failed to meet the expectations of a 4-star property, as advertised by the hotel and promoted by EasyJet Holidays. Accommodation: The room provided was extremely bare and uncomfortable. More troubling was the persistent foul smell of drains at night, which repeatedly disturbed our sleep and significantly affected our comfort throughout the stay. Family Facilities: One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was its advertised family-friendly features, including a children's playground and pool. However, the reality was very disappointing. The "playground" consisted of just a see-saw and two swings—no other equipment or designated space for children. The children’s pool was tiny (around 2x5 meters) and offered no features or entertainment suited to young children. This made it difficult to keep our 5-year-old grandson engaged during the holiday, which was frustrating for us all. Health Concerns: To make matters worse, our grandson was badly bitten by mosquitoes throughout the stay. The bites caused him considerable discomfort and disrupted his sleep, adding to the overall stress of the holiday. There seemed to be no preventative measures in place by the hotel, such as mosquito repellents or room treatments. Unjustified Pricing: Despite the lack of amenities and limited food consumption typical for young children, we were charged the full adult rate for our grandson. This pricing structure feels unreasonable and unfair. Food & Beverage Services: The poolside snack bar was almost non-existent. During our 6-day stay, snacks were rarely available, and when they were, offerings were limited to small slices of marble cake and melon. This is unacceptable for an all-inclusive package. The main meals lacked variety, were repetitive, and were poorly labelled. Fresh items such as salads and sauces had no allergen information, making it difficult and unsafe for guests with dietary restrictions. Beach Facilities: The beach area was overcrowded, with sunbeds and umbrellas crammed tightly together. Despite being an all-inclusive resort, guests were required to pay €20 per day for sunbeds. When I inquired about a half-day rate, I was told none was available. The sunbeds themselves were dirty, with visible hair, sand, and stains. The "free" beach area was extremely limited and overcrowded, offering little enjoyment. Conclusion: Apart from the beautiful views, our overall experience was disappointing and did not reflect the quality or value expected from a 4-star family resort.
