Blue Relais Maggiore

Our flight got cancelled, and the airline brought us to this hotel for the night. What a luck! The room was spacious and had a hot tub, the staff was quick - given the situation with all these spontaneous visitors from the cancelled flight. The hotel offers a good buffet style breakfast and is located very close to the Lago Maggiore.

Quite a good hotel. Rooms of a good size, with air conditioning. Our room was cleaned thoroughly and the staff were friendly. However, you have to be aware that the hotel is located on a fairly busy road, near shopping malls and a large airport nearby and you can hear many planes during the day. The hotel can be a great starting point for exploring the area around Lake Maggiore with its many tourist attractions. The food is Italian style, but there are few vegetables and fruits served.

BE WARNED!, this is no ordinary Hotel, it´s a Highway Motel for Adult-Oriented practices. Despite its façade, this establishment is specially tailored for "adult" clientele, offering hourly rates and featuring phallic symbols on the ceiling. Its suspicious aesthetic, coupled with colored lights in the jacuzzi tubs and a sink near the bed, makes it clear this place is geared towards a very specific kind of use. -Unadvertised Adult-Only Nature: Nowhere in the booking process or on their website is it mentioned that this motel caters predominantly to "adult" activities. This lack of transparency is especially concerning for those traveling with minors. -Reception and Room Allocation: The reception staff appeared to have no control over the hourly room occupancy. We were offered rooms already occupied by guests who were clearly engaged in private activities, leading to awkward and uncomfortable situations. -Misleading Marketing: The photos on their website and various booking platforms do not accurately represent the reality of this motel. There is a significant discrepancy between the advertised images and the actual state of the premises, hinting at fraudulent advertising practices. -Customer Service: The hotel manager, Isabella, displayed a complete lack of empathy towards customers seeking explanations or refunds. Her dismissive attitude only exacerbated an already disappointing experience. Conclusion: This "motel" fails to provide an honest depiction of its services and atmosphere. The adult-oriented nature, combined with poor customer service and misleading marketing, makes it an unsuitable choice for families and travelers seeking a conventional lodging experience. Avoid this establishment if you value transparency and professionalism.
