We had a spectacular dinner there last night. The setting is charming as is the decor in that's it's fresh and aesthetically pleasing. Dinner meals are prix fix, 5 course, with a choice for the main entree. Those in the kitchen are serious about what they're making and it shows. The ingredients are the best and are used to create unusual, delicious, artfully presented courses. We felt like we were on a little vacation and the next morning we both commented on how wonderful our dinner had been. I do want to give a special mention to the dessert course. It was Michelin 3 star. It was a privilege dining there and I look forward to returning soon as we live in the area and I want to taste and see what this creative team will be serving next.

We had the most amazing weekend at The Blue Rock Inn! The property is absolutely gorgeous—with stunning views of the mountains, beautiful vineyards, and pretty open land with horses. It was so peaceful and felt like a little slice of paradise. Our room was so quaint, with a view over the land, and our door led directly outside to the roof of the building, offering even more stunning views. The backyard was such a great spot to hang out—filled with fire pits and perfect tables to relax, play games, and just enjoy being with friends and loved ones. The whole property felt thoughtfully designed for making memories. One of our favorite parts was breakfast—delivered to our room every morning with a gorgeous spread. You could really see the thought and care put into it. Wyatt and Keighley truly made us feel right at home the entire time. They were so welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay extra special. It honestly felt like we were staying with friends rather than at an inn!!!! I can’t say enough about Chef Aaron’s food—it was incredible! Every meal was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. They just started serving brunch, and we were lucky enough to try some of their new dishes—the French toast was insane! The service was impeccable, and you could really feel the passion behind every dish. The property itself is stunning, with so many thoughtful details and the perfect location close to wineries and The Inn at Little Washington. The wine selection was huge, the cocktail program was thoughtfully crafted, and the entire culinary experience was top-notch. But honestly, it was the people who made the experience truly unforgettable. If you’re looking for a hidden gem that’s full of charm and the best hospitality, The Blue Rock Inn is it. I couldn’t recommend it more, and we can’t wait to go back!

The food was artistic and delicious, which did not match the rest of our experience. We were charged a 22% service charge without being told; we almost added a tip on top of that. The music was horrible, a whiny, screaming kind of music, and since the place was empty, really noticeable. We were not offered bread at the beginning, really unusual for fine dining. Although the place was empty we were seated at a tiny 2-seater table despite a number of 4-seater tables being open, at which other couples later were seated. The windows fogged over from the air conditioning blocking the beautiful view of the pond and vineyard. We got the wine flight and the Riesling did not go at all with the second dish and the white wine served with the Haddock was really bad. She squirted it out of the bottle and it came out cloudy. When we left, the exit was dark. No lights at all to see the gravel driveway to get to our car. The gardens were full of weeds, some 1.5 feet high. Wonderful food experience with a complete lack of management oversight.
