I've stayed at the resort twice—once for a work event and again for a family vacation. I loved it so much that I look forward to booking another stay. Based on reviews I read, some people have very high expectations. While not everything was 100% perfect, I had a fantastic experience, and all my needs were met and concerns addressed. If someone wants a high-end experience, it'll cost 5-10 times more. The hotel is an incredible value for the money spent, surrounded by beautiful nature, trails, facilities, decent food, and excellent service. I appreciated the complimentary car rental and virtual concierge. Shout out to a lady who runs it. Unfortunately, I didn't ask the name. I also want to recognize Suzanne from the registration desk, Roberto, and all the team members from the Mill Room. You made me and my daughter feel at home. Thank you!
Cool place overall. Bed was rock hard with indentations and pillows were terrible. We paid extra for the premium king room with lake view. Was more of a tree view with views of the lake between the branches. We thought it would be nicer for the cost.
We stayed at the resort from a Sunday to Friday. It was during the recent heat wave. While the resort is nice, it has some flaws. The public AC settings were different by the hallway I found. It'd be 67 to 80... The AC in our room broke overnight, two nights in a row, leaving us with a very hot room. The first day, it was out for half the day, the second night was fixed faster. I had to repeatedly check in to see if it was fixed, as we had to sit in the lobby of the main hotel. We were in the Ednam wing, which is a solid walk to the lobby. The other rooms our party had were fine with AC. The pools are a big feature, but were closed on Sunday early and also a big chunk of the day on the Wednesday for a swim competition. The only pool open was the adult only one at the spa. All the teens were sad. Thursday, we requested towels at the lobby for our rooms. They were never delivered. There was a free shuttle my MIL used often, which was appreciated in the heat. The hiking paths are nice, and well laid out. Had it been cooler, I'd have enjoyed more hiking. The outdoor fire pit behind the Mill Restaurant is nice, but was too hot to enjoy. Most of the resort is aimed at people who like tennis, pickleball, and golf. If that's you, you will love the resort. Foodwise, its not cheap, but is well prepared and has innovative ideas.
