I liked the concept of the hotel. It's convenient and modern in my opinion to do the check-in with the app and also to have all the information there. The hotel is in a nice and quite street and there are good restaurants and cafes and a few underground stations in a walking distance. I liked the queen room, it was modern and clean and it had enough space for two people. There were few minor cons in the room which lowered my rating to four stars. The room did not have enough counter space for the suitcases, as we would have preferred not to keep them on the floor. Additionally, the bathroom did not have enough hooks for towels or counter space for toiletries. The air conditioning in the room also felt slightly ineffective, as the air felt humid when two people showered daily, and the air did not circulate properly. However, this may simply be a characteristic of older buildings. Also keep in mind that there is no cleaning free of charge and it costs £25. We didn't need it but it might be needed if you are staying more than three or four nights. All in all, I would book a room from this hotel again and can recommend it.
It's clean and fresh inside - looks like it was done up fairly recently. The room was small - double bed (which cost extra) very much a queen not a king (and rather hard) but it was functional and very quiet. The absence of any service including food is a bit disorienting for one used to a hotel and the breakfast bit was not firing at 7.30am as promised. People behind the desk downstairs had no interest in the guests. Location ok but not that close to the tube.
One star due to a very despicable policy. Have been charged € 150.00 in advance with no warning anywhere on their website upon booking as "cautionary sum" in case I broke anything in the room. I simply find this unacceptable without being informed upfront. Arrogant and stupid policy. For the rest, hotel's nicely renovated and clean. My room, standard, is on the ground floor in the backyard overlooking machinery. Not exactly worth the money. Sorry guys, you're not going to see me again. Ever
