Fantastic location in quiet street not far from restaurants, sites and ferry to Valletta. Brilliant service and comfy bed in decent sized room. Great view from the penthouse balcony (lucky enough to be there when Malta International Fireworks display was on)
Old townhouse style hotel, with interesting decor and character within. The location was perfect, 8 min walk to boat to Valletta. Nice restaurants and bars within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooftop terrace, with well stocked honesty bar, is a must for sunset.
Not clean, very poor breakfast and hot tub doesn’t work but advertising. The view from the terrace. We chose this hotel mainly because it advertised a jacuzzi, and we paid extra compared to other options for this feature. Unfortunately, the jacuzzi was out of service, and a staff member told us it had been for several months already. There was no prior notice, and no compensation or refund was offered when we raised the issue. The breakfast was also disappointing. It’s a set plate with no buffet option, and the quantity depends on who is serving. When the female staff served it, everything was as described, but when the male staff member was in charge, the portions were noticeably smaller (I even took photos for comparison). To add to that, the same person was also responsible for cleaning and immediately handling food without washing his hands in between. Another downside is that there’s no reception or staff available during the day or evening, so if you need any assistance, it’s simply not possible. The room amenities are extremely basic—no cotton buds, no makeup remover pads, and only two tiny gels that were never replenished during our stay. In terms of service, this hotel is at best a 2-star experience, yet the pricing is closer to a 4-star hotel. I would strongly advise against paying this rate, as you will not get the value you expect. Lastly, our room was on the ground floor, and the kitchen area was right next to it. Staff began preparing breakfast around 6-7 AM, laughing and joking loudly, which made it impossible to sleep.
