Bodrogi Kúria Wellness Hotel

One of the very best reviews I’ve ever written thus far:-) The staff is highly professional, very kind and helpful to the max! Bravo!!! Very clean place, tastefully decorated. Very good cocktails at the bar. Very nice location surrounded by woods, yet close to the city of Budapest and the airport. One of the favorites was the sauna with the ice cold bath tub, loved it!!!!

We had a good experience at this hotel, in particular we used it as our base to get to the f1 and from that perspective it suited our needs well. If you were going there purely for a holiday the location is quite remote, although for guests purely seeking wellness facilities I think that would suit them well. The rooms and hotel were nice but a bit dated. Excellent Finnish sauna with plunge pool, this was one of the highlights. Food wise , we found the breakfast and dinner options unfortunately to be considerably lacking in terms of flavour and quality of cooking. Overall a nice hotel however needs a bit more polishing and updating.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a great stay. We spent one night as we were in transit. First, the buffet dinner is not worth the price. The choices are limited; there are no real entrees. The beef stew was the only delicious item. The fries, for example, were very dry. We had a problem with the shower cord. No one from maintenance could help, so the receptionist tried to twist it around and claimed that it worked. When we asked the second time, she came again to check and came with a new cord but no tools. Only then, at approximately 10.30 pm, did she suggest offering a new room. It was too late, as our toddler was almost asleep, and I didn't want to bother her. Speaking of the toddler, we received a crib, but it barely had a mattress and was hard as a rock. The breakfast was good, and the bed was comfortable. Despite this, we will never come back.
