We had a short but a very pleasant stay at the Astrid. We were greeted by very helpful and kind staff. Our room was very clean, spacious and well designed. We are amazed by the general layout and design of the hotel. It has a calming and peaceful tone. The breakfast was great and the service definitely exceeds standards. Restrooms are very clean. Staff was very informative. They guided us to the nearby beach with a buggy even after we had checked-out. The beach was not crowded and the water was as pleasant as can be. I highly recommend the hotel to anyone seeking for peace and quality. I will choose to stay at the Astrid next time we’re around.
My mum and I stayed here for the week and we had a lovely time. The hotel is modern with lovely decor. The poolside is lovely! The owner is very kind and makes sure all guests leave happy! Special thanks to Ogur who was very kind to us. It would’ve been nicer if the breakfast options were bigger such as pancakes as it was a limited selection. One thing to bear in mind is it’s difficult to get taxis in the evening. Other than that lovely hotel.
I recently stayed at Astrid Hotel, and I must say it was an incredibly disappointing experience. From the moment I arrived, the service was appalling and virtually non-existent. The elevator was out of order, and I had to lug my bags up several flights of stairs with no assistance from the staff, who were more interested in gossiping amongst themselves than helping guests. The WiFi, which is essential for any traveler, had not been working for days. When I inquired about it, I was given the same excuse as other frustrated guests—that it would be fixed in an hour. Needless to say, the issue was never resolved during my stay. Adding to the frustration, when I approached the receptionist to address these issues, instead of offering any sort of resolution, she was quick to remind me of the hotel's strict no refund policy. It was clear that they were more interested in protecting themselves than ensuring a positive guest experience. The hotel's condition is another major concern. The couches in the common areas were filthy, and the overall state of the property is sad and neglected. It’s clear that maintenance and cleanliness are not a priority here. To top it off, the restaurant closes at 3 PM, leaving guests without any dining options for the rest of the day. When I asked for something as simple as ice after this time, I was rudely refused. It’s basically a self-service hotel, but without the convenience or comfort that one would expect. Overall, Astrid Hotel is not a place I would recommend. The lack of service, poor maintenance, and rude staff make it an unpleasant place to stay. Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else.
