My family recently stayed at Bolontiku Hotel, and it was an unforgettable experience that perfectly blended luxury, comfort, personalized service and the mystique of Tikal's ancient ruins. The staff exceeded every expectation, anticipating our every need with warmth, big smiles, and attentiveness. From the moment we arrived, their personalized service left a lasting impression, ensuring our stay was seamless and memorable. Bolontiku ia a true oasis of tranquility, seamlessly integrated into the lush jungle surroundings. Our room was beautifully designed, combining modern comforts with a deep respect for the natural environment. The breathtaking view of the lake provided a serene space for reflection, while the spa became a heaven for relaxation after a day of exploration. Activities like kayaking on the lake and walks around the property added to the sense of connection with nature. The Mysticism of the Ruins: Located just a sort distance from the awe-inspiring ruins of Tikal, Bolontiku immerses guests in the magic of this ancient Mayan city. The guided tours organized by Eduardo were phenomenal, expert guides brought the ruins into life, weaving together rich history and captivating folklore. We felt a profound connection to the ancient world, surrounded by the timeless energy of the jungle. Every moment at Bolontiku felt like a bridge between the past and present, luxury history, adventure and tranquility. This isn't just a place to stay, it's a journey into the heart of something extraordinary. If you seek inspiration, awe, and the chance to touch the timeless, this is a where you'll find it.
The hotel is really nice and feels like being in paradise, to be honest! Their tours with Explorer agency are really really great! Just two things to improve: • Time management at the restaurant: every time we order something, it took at least 45min - 1h, even it was a drink. Plus, most of the time orders didn’t come with all ingredients on the menu, something was missing: bread, tortillas, or cheese. • Cleaning Room service: not my case, but my brother’s case. We spend there 4 nights and in 2 times the cleaning room service didn’t knock the door and just get it meanwhile his wife and he were dressing or taking a shower.
Starting from the good part: the hotel is gorgeous and has a magnificent view. Our room was super well-equipped and clean. Now to the bad: the service in the hotel was subpar at best. I wouldn’t be surprised if I learned they hired everyone the day before my stay, and they were all in training. The list of mistakes is vast, but here are some: 1. I was never given the key to my room, even after insisting on it; I had to leave it unlocked every time I left it. 2. They didn’t give me the WiFi password; it took us a while to finally talk to an employee who would share it with us. 3. They didn’t share the code to call the reception and ask the cart to pick us up; luckily, I read some reviews on Google where people were kind enough to say I should press 0 to arrange a ride or ask for anything. 4. I told them I needed to leave early to catch my flight, but the staff arrived late for work that morning, so I had to carry all my luggage downhill from the second to the last cabin. Even then, I had to wait in the reception area for them to arrive so I could do my checkout. The list goes on with other minor annoyances. Those all sum up to a very frustrating stay. If I could give the owners and managers any advice, it would be to either train your staff much better or lower the prices to make it compatible with the not-so-premium experience you are able to offer.
