Bolton Whites

We have stayed at the hotel quite a number of times over the years and cannot praise it enough. From the moment of stepping through the doors and into the reception area, you are made to feel so welcome. Our room was clean, comfortable and the high end finish for a standard room was exceptional. We loved it! The food was excellent, too! As for the staff, well, ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! Nothing is too much trouble. They are a credit to the hotel! Special mention needs to be given to Billy behind the bar for his help, patience and guidance with 'something technical' that left me able to use a new mobile phone purchased from the Tesco store next door! So, location wise the hotel is ideally situated and within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants!

The hotel itself is very clean and tidy. From the entrance to the restaurant and bar it's lovely. The room was very quiet and bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was really nice and plenty of choice. The young lady working breakfast was very polite and efficient. The view from the room was stunning, my son and nephew absolutely loved it. I would definitely stay again however, do need to point out the negatives. the room we stayed in 337 was not very clean then in the bathroom there was blood on the toilet, the tiled floor and the bath mat disgusting. Obviously the floor had not been mopped. Also the patio door was locked i understand they don't want people going out into the stadium. However, the door is fitted with a restrictor so if the door was unlocked it would only open a couple of inches to allow a little fresh air in. On a light negative I wouldn't bother leaving a pack of 2 digestives in a double room giving each occupant one digestive each ha ha. Every member of staff we came across was lovely and helpful, cleaner just needs a mop. Sorry for 2 stars I could have put up with many things but blood on floors etc is vile I would give my son's room a 5 star

Reception was cold at best. The room has a few outdated touches and the sofa? Best not to sit on it. Bathroom door shows signs of heavy humidity, and the sink drains so slowly you might need to schedule your next visit around it. Also found two hairs on the bed — not exactly reassuring. No A/C, just a tiny fan that barely moves air. Overall, expected better for the price.
