As it is promoted as a 5 star resort, I would have to rate it as a five star resort. When I do this it falls short on nearly all aspects. All-inclusive is a fluid term here, best bars and best restaurants are for paying customers only and are not included in the all-inclusive deal, this is the case both at the beach and at the hotel. The snacks during the day are very limited and often there is a very big line. The food provided in the restaurant is the same every day, no variety. The pool area and the beach are totally packed every day, I have even seen that if it's not completely full that they are selling entrances to "day tourists" (again both at the pool and beach), this is not luxury... to be in between frigo-box tourist like sardines in a can. No cleaning near the pools during the day, meaning that the whole area is filthy. The hotel has only 2 elevators which means it often takes a very long time to get an elevator. The staff does nothing about the "reserving of seats" near the pool, towels are left over night. as a five star luxury resort and spa (as it literally says on the roof of the building) I would expect certain things Spa, Fitness area, kids club,... none of these are there... The main entrance of the hotel is very nice looking, nice walkway, nice gigantic water feature. the problem is that they let cars park there to the point that you can't even pass anymore. Do not come here if you expect and all-inclusive and luxury stay, because it is far from that.

I don’t usually like writing bad reviews, but this time I really feel like I have to. We just returned from 10 days at Bonita with our 3 children (ages 3, 8, and 10). The hotel claims to be 5 stars, but in our opinion it was more like 3 stars at best. The food was almost the same every day, very repetitive and always ice cold. Because of this, we ended up eating outside the hotel for 8 out of 9 evenings. The pool area with the slides had an extreme amount of chlorine, so our kids only used it twice. The tiles/grout in the pool were painted black, which ruined our swimwear (black stains that don’t wash out). On top of that, the whole area was dangerously slippery I saw so many children and adults slip and fall, it’s really not okay. The poolside snacks were also disappointing: cold food that seemed like leftovers from the previous day. The only thing halfway decent was the pizza, which caused long lines every time and most of the time it was gone before you even got a chance. There was no real entertainment, just a poolside band hired through the travel agency. The beach was a disaster. As an all-inclusive guest you still had to sit in the public area on cheap plastic beds. If you wanted something more comfortable, you had to pay extra. The so called “beach club” was nothing more than a wooden shack falling apart, where you could get drinks. The safe in our room was broken. A staff member came with a bunch of keys, couldn’t fix it, and promised to return the next day with a new one. Of course, nobody ever showed up again. Overall, we are very disappointed. Even though I didn’t go with the highest expectations (I knew it wouldn’t be like Turkey’s standards), this was still a big letdown. This was the third hotel in Durrës I’ve tried so far, but this one really disappointed us. I never thought it could be so bad.

We stayed at this hotel for a week. Although beautiful, the service is mediocre. The male staff and a blonde at the bar are contemptuous and haughty. As soon as we arrived (16/06/2025), at check-in I hadn't understood a word of English and the receptionist (tall, dark, curly-haired with glasses) started making fun of my English and wouldn't speak to me because, and I quote, “she understands nothing in English”. When we discovered our room, it was nothing like it looked in the photos; it was dirty and there was still sand on the floor. The mirror light in the bathroom worked one time out of 4, and when we reported the problem, no action was taken (always by the tall, dark-haired man with the curly hair and contemptuous glasses). The cleaning lady threw clean towels, a roll of toilet paper and garbage bags into my arms in the corridor to get me to do her job. The next day, she tried to do the same thing, but this time I refused because it's not my job, and I paid for 5-star service. I don't know where the 5 stars come from, given that the food is infamous. Indeed, everything is dry, tasteless and bathed in oil. There's no variety in the dishes on offer, even pasta and rice they don't know how to make. Cleaning is never done properly, it seems they don't know how to vacuum. A pile of sand was under the table when we arrived and was still there when we left. Meal times are very short - it's impossible to eat after 9pm. We can't leave all day and come back to eat because it's closed all the time. Breakfast closes at 10 a.m., no graceful morning on vacation! The buffet (which is always cold and left over from the night before) is supposed to open at 11am, but opens at 11.30am. THERE ARE NO COCKTAILS AT THE BAR, in alcohol you'll find: white/red wine, beer and vodka. That's all there is. Drinks are never cold, soft drinks are no longer cold and are hot. No spa as indicated in the hotel name. Pool closes at 6 p.m., not clean at bottom, no lifeguard, floor around pool extremely slippery, we almost fell a number of times. Very dangerous slides that caused us a lot of injuries, the plates are not aligned, it's very dangerous. One evening, a barmaid dropped a pile of glass glasses, which exploded and ended up in the children's pool: the pool is not cleaned up: IT'S DANGEROUS and the children can be seriously injured. The music by the pool in the evening is pleasant and everyone dances. There's no direct access to the beach, the surrounding area is very ghettoized, and there's a lot of construction stuck up to the hotel, which is very noisy and disturbing, making it impossible to relax peacefully. Most of the staff don't speak English. If you ever want to lose weight, DO IT! We didn't eat a thing during our stay.
