Bono Hotel Old Town

The place has its positive and negative points, but for us, there was no balance between the two, and we would not stay there again and we will not recommend it. To begin with, it is not a hotel, it is like an Airbnb with a "breakfast" benefit. We went to the address indicated on the booking, but it was not correct. We had to contact them by phone and someone from the accommodation came to meet us. This part of the city is closed to cars and parking is only available far away, so it was important to have the exact location so as not to get lost on the street with bags full of luggage. There are several accommodations with the same name Bono, according to booking it says it is facing the beach, but that is not where we stayed, and for all of them the check-in location is a coffee shop in the old town, where there are also rooms (which was our case), even so, it is a good location. Breakfast is included in the accommodation, but it is in another place, 5 minutes away on foot, at a restaurant of the Bono chain. It only starts serving from 8:30 am, and the boat tours start at 9 am. If it were a self-service or quick breakfast, it wouldn't be a problem, but we arrived at 8:27 am and were only served at 8:55 am, not to mention that we only had 1 cup of tea included, even for water we had to pay extra, and this information wasn't available in the app. As for the room, it was large and comfortable, but the acoustics were terrible, you could hear EVERYTHING outside and the gate slammed all night long when other guests arrived. In our room, there was an "area" with all glass walls right in the middle, which separated the single bed from the double bed, but this area had an external door that opened onto the street and was closed only by a curtain that could be moved by those on the street. We didn't use the area and blocked the curtain with a chair, because they could see inside the room.

The worse service for cleaning ever! 3 days rooms not cleaned at all ! I asked one day for bathroom cleaning only towels were changed the day after I asked 2 times for while room cleaning they did not do it ! I had to go before the time because I could not stay in a duety room! Not mentioning the insects inside the room all type of it and the first day I arrived the toilets were dirty with pee.... horrible service then they ask why tourists not coming back! Lack of honesty ! When you stay in hotel you expect a cleaning they say you ask for it but you will never have it! The room it's self is not bad , the location is great but too much noisy .... The guy working in reception Ibrahim us very nice but he us just do what he us told to do! Very bad management If you expect quality, don t go there

room very dirty and they never get cleaned even when you ask.... Good location but very noisy day and night. The breakfast is 12 min walk and no aircon and slow so if it's 40 degrees you need to get breakfast out in the heat
