The Borgo Ginuga is beautifully located and shines with its warm hospitality, which immediately creates a family atmosphere, and its excellent cuisine. Everything is done to make guests feel comfortable. We would have liked to have stayed longer.
Enchanting surroundings, refined and welcoming structure, practically perfect!!! time stopped, we seemed to live suspended between heaven and earth... and our host Giovanna [the Gi of Ginuga], a beautiful person, welcomed us like old friends: she prepared an aperitif for us by the pool, she shared lunch with us, and in the morning breakfast with homemade granitas and hot brooches...what can I say, a sweet, welcoming person who loves her land and shares its history and traditions with her guests...she combines grace and determination...we will return again Safe. Thanks Giovanna!!
The hotel has an amazing view of Etna and the host was incredibly welcoming. Swimming in the pool looking up at the impressive Etna at the edge of an orchard is very relaxing and the rooms are spacious and clean. For lunch or dinner you need to leave the property and drive the 4km to Centuripe or 7km to Paterno. This isn’t particularly clear on the websites, booking.com etc. Breakfast was basic but functional Air conditioning in our room was ineffectual, although the noisy fan worked it did not cool the room, whether it needs maintenance or just a poor design I’m not sure but other guests experienced the same issue. Sleeping in the heat was very difficult and uncomfortable. Beware of driving into the very centre of Centuripe, google maps didn’t work and it’s easy to get lost. Park on the edge of town and walk the last bit. The town is beautiful and the locals extremely friendly and helpful. Thanks to Louis and his pals :-)
