Amazing local fresh Italian ostuni style Very elegant design elegant plates Wonderful wonderful staff we were looked after by such a kind waitress with red hair she made our experience very special with her great suggestions and attentive manner. Grounds are spectacular. Just a very special experience overall ! Highly recommend eating there ! Make sure u order the Bombetta was my favorite !!

Where to begin?! We visited many masserias for our wedding in May 2023, but Borgo San Marco stood out. For it's entire staff (shout out to my girls Carmen and Lucrezia at reception, but also the entire kitchen, restaurant and bar staff), it's charming design, it's authentic feeling. We were fewer than 40 with all guests staying for 2 nights. EVERYONE (guests from Rome, Paris, and the U.S.) complimented us on our choice of venue because the experience we had made our wedding even better than we had imagined. The ceremony in the chapel was a last minute change due to possible rain and I'm so glad we moved it there (even if in the end there was no rain) as it was spectacular. The food provided by Borgo San Marco was absolutely fantastic (the breakfasts, the welcome party and our wedding dinner). All the rooms are unique and exquisitely decorated with gorgeous furniture pieces and art. I'm very sensitive to interior design and wanted something neither too rustic nor too modern; Borgo San Marco is gorgeous and a perfect blend. We stayed an extra night after our wedding to enjoy the pool side with friends and we're already looking forward to future visits. It will always have a special place in our hearts. If you're coming for a few nights or a long stay, I can't recommend this wonderful place enough.

Our stay at Borgo San Marco was deeply disappointing. Despite its aesthetic appeal, I would give it zero stars if I could. The service is virtually non-existent. You can wander the hotel all day without encountering a single staff member. If you need anything, you’re on your own to fetch it and pay for it yourself. The air conditioning in our room was ineffective, blowing only warm air around 80 degrees (basically no AC for 5 nights), leaving us sweating throughout the day and night. For the price we paid, we expected basic amenities like a functioning AC (this was the worst), attentive service, and a sense of being catered to. The hotel’s approach is utterly inconvenient. Ordering food or drinks involves scanning a QR code that seldom works. Need towels? You have to walk and get them yourself and remember to return them. Want water for the room? You’re expected to go out to a store and buy it yourself. They provide absolutely nothing for guest convenience. Complaining about issues is futile; the staff responds unprofessionally and defensively. This unprofessional attitude was evident even during breakfast. Our one dinner at the hotel was underwhelming and subpar, adding to our disappointment. In short, I strongly recommend staying elsewhere. There are many beautiful places in the area, and we deeply regret choosing Borgo San Marco.
