Boris Palace Boutique Hotel & Winery

The hotel is very beautiful but some of the room amenity choices was a bit odd. For the positives, the bathroom was clean and even had a grab bar near the toilet, which was a nice accessibility touch while the shower was perfectly functional. We had a nice large and comfortable bed and the decor was really lovely. We also had a little balcony but I suspect that was because we had a suite room. For the oddities, we didn't have a kettle or any way to make coffee and there was only one very small garbage can which was a bit inconvenient. The staff were fine, not overtly friendly (but that's normal in the Balkans) but were present and attentive. It's perfectly located right in the middle of the old town, walking distance from all the main sites and only a few minutes from the main pedestrian area.

Super rude, arrogant and disrespectful old man running this place!! They attract customers with such a nice old building in Plovdiv’s old city but once you’re inside they treat you with complete disrespect. They take your money then you discover that many services in the room doesn’t function and once you inform them they say: “I don’t know, sorry this is what we have” … all this with an extremely rude and unpleasant attitude. DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED ‼️‼️

do not visit the restaurant of the Boris Palace hotel. we have never had a more unpleasant experience. rude and unforgiving attitude from an elderly bald waiter of apparent age 70 years. maybe the local tax authorities would be interested in how with brutal attitude, without a receipt, we had to pay for food that we did not even consume. my husband and I are long-time culinary tourists - we have not received such disgusting attitude anywhere else and we have visited many restaurants in the world. this industry was created for the pleasure of customers…… and is the face of the beautiful city of Plovdiv. What kind of tourism are we talking about with such attitude. Service1.0Location1.0
