Overall, this is a very nice facility. Clean and efficient. Some of the staff are truly outstanding; however, some should be retrained to be more customer service oriented. The spa procedures vary from very professional to mediocre. The dining room is very well run and the food is varied and well prepared and presented. Special mention to Sabo and George for their excellent work. Although English is not widely spoken, you can manage to survive this situation. I was there for 17 days and the only American guest; that was both a benefit and a burden. If you are looking to relax, this may be be the place for you.
A place that has nothing of a Palace but the name. To be fair, our stay wasn’t horrible, but between the distinctly unwelcoming check-in (“You got booking?! Give me your passport!”), the tired and outdated decor, and especially a worn-out room with a tiny bathroom where limescale reigns supreme, it’s hard to find much to praise. Signs of wear and tear are visible throughout, only partially offset by the decent quality of the bedding. The breakfast is entirely forgettable. The toaster, for example, seems capable of toasting nothing but your patience. The pool, so deeply tucked inside the building and surrounded by guests more focused on drinking than swimming, manages to drain all desire to take a dip. Even the slippers were a mismatched pair of two left feet, which seems oddly symbolic of the overall experience. As for the value for money, it appears to have gone on holiday itself. If you’re expecting anything remotely close to a “Palace” in the European sense of the word, this is definitely not the place for you.
The staff is rude and unprofessional. The rooms are very shabby and dingy. The mattress in the room was uncomfortable and dipping from one side. The food is average. The breakfast buffet has limited options. We came in the summer and the AC in our room was not working and the staff literally said they can't change the room. We had to fight with them for 30mins to explain that it was hot and they gave the other room like they are doing a favor to us. Very poor experience, not worth the money.
