Borneo Royale Hotel

My first impression was quite bad and I'll censor it here. The lobby and lift looked decent enough but the corridor to my room was like from The Shining and the room... There were all kind of stains on the carpet even blood... It was just disgusting that I had to wear my slippers in the room. The other features in the room were aged but functional such bedsheets were worn and ripped. Toilet and shower worked fine which was good. And the toilet was clean and not stained. So this is a one star. The other star comes from the fact that the bed and pillows were actually comfortable that I had a good sleep through out the night. So if you have no other choice and you need a place to put your head to rest for one night, this place qualifies.

Warning , please if you’re travelling with kids, please please please DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. It’s not safe for u and definitely not safe for kids. You can stay somewhere nicer with cheaper price compare to this hotel. Whoever own this hotel need to do a serious renovation and cleaning. This hotel doesn’t deserve a 4-stars, let alone a 1-star. Here are the reasons why 1. The room is super filthy, you can clearly see a mold on the bed, on the furniture, on the floor and the wall. 2. There’s obvious cracks on the walls. 3. The furnitures are old, the closet looks like it’s gonna fall at anytime. The bottom was cracked . The closet is dusty too. 4. The pillow, oh my goodness. Its a breeding ground for bacteria, mold and bedbugs. 5. The bed might be even worse than the pillow , Its hard and I can’t imagine what it looks like under the bedsheets. 6. Disgusting toilet 🤮 7. Musty smells everywhere except lobby. Warning : its a sign of bedbugs or dust mite infestation. 8. The telephone doesn’t work well, the wire that was connected to the telephone is old. The telephone itself is old and looks like it’s begging to retire. Anyway, the only things that was good about this hotel was they allowed us to cancel the booking even after we made a payment . This is the first hotel that we check in and check out at the same day. Worse hotel ever but the staffs are good and helpful

Lobby service is good. Registration is easy. Hot water for the shower is working. After changing to another room, it is the same condition. Beds, sheets, pillows, towels, furniture are old, and dirty with stains. It is very obvious and not well maintained. The moment I got out of the lift, the walkway is not lit well. The carpet floor is very dirty with stains, same condition in the room. The door is semi working. Some rooms have hairdryer, and some don't. I reserved 2 rooms. Air-conditioning doesn’t work consistently. Some light is working and some don't.
