Please do not waste your time or money here. Completely filthy upon arrival. Handprints on the wall, stains on the pillows, couch and bed, lights not working, ni lightbulbs in lamps, and MOLD all in the bathroom. The bed felt wet because of the moisture built up in the room. No windows. Just a complete disaster. We asked for clean sheets and the lady working the front asked to come in the room to see the sheets before giving us new ones. She was very rude and didn’t have any answers for us at all. Way to end the year.
***Do not stay here.*** The posted pictures from La Mar Boutique Hotel (aka Silversands Boutique Hotel) contradict the reality (please see attached with comparisons). *Mold / mildew underneath air conditioner and throughout room. *Filthy floors which had long grey and dark hairs throughout. *Broken furniture on balcony with ripped/stained cushions. *Sliding doors that barely worked because of dirty tracks, etc. (both out to the balcony and into the shower) - the woman who took us to our room couldn't get the sliders open to the balcony - we were able to force them open *Stained sheets *Laminate in kitchen and other surfaces in need of repair *Air conditioning and fans not connected to power When we checked into our room, we were saddened to see the state of it. No electricity to AC or ceiling fans, broken furniture on balcony, huge swatches of tape across the big sliders. We checked in at 3pm and by 6pm, the electricity still did not function. We booked another place and never looked back. Please do not believe what you see in their pictures. Please click on photos attached to this post (and enlarge) to see reality vs. advertising.
DO NOT GO TO THE SPA IN THIS HOTEL!!! Unfortunately my sister got scammed here. First they made her come back twice and kept changing their availability. Then, they made her pay before they even began the service (supposed to be a pedicure with gel polish). The setup was ridiculous, she was sitting on a massage chair in a small curtained corner. The lady doing her nails was reusing old tools and had her hair draping all over the tools and her feet - crazy unsanitary! After having the cuticles pushed and trimmed on 2 toes my sister decided everything was too unprofessional and ridiculous and wanted to leave. She had already paid in full (400 pesos), but wanted a portion of her money back as only a tiny fraction of the service was provided. She was willing to leave 200 pesos and wanted the other half back. The manager/supervisor lady refused and argued extensively that the service was perfectly safe and fine (it was NOT). Overall, a horrible experience. This place is NOT legit and not worth it at ALL. Please don’t get scammed here!
