Had the breakfast wine tasting and the experience was superb! Christiaan was top tier in providing us the best tasting experience. With multiple additional tastings outside of the 4 that came with the experience. The entire property was beyond beautiful and everyone we came across was beyond lovely. The property was also very historical and we overall had an amazing time. I would definitely come back and have this place be my main base as I explore the beautiful region.

1st time here to boschendal.A very beautiful and family friendly estate. They only get 4 stars for me as the restaurant and farmer shop are not priced for locals but more tourists or upper middle class. Very expensive! The restaurant was fully booked but the prices on the menu didn't make us stick around. We settled for delicious lamb pies and croissants from the deli which were excellent! My son enjoyed the playground by the tree house and beautiful gardens.

We were genuinely excited to visit this estate, but unfortunately, our experience left us feeling quite disappointed. From the moment we arrived, it was difficult to figure out where the festival was taking place. The layout was confusing, and everything seemed so spread out that it made navigating the space feel more like a chore than a celebration. It would have made a big difference if there had been golf carts or a shuttle service to help guests move between areas more comfortably. We were especially looking forward to tasting the wines, but when we asked about the options, the server informed us that they were out of everything except samosas and spring rolls. That was incredibly disheartening, especially considering how much we had anticipated this part of the visit. In the end, we decided to leave and visit another estate instead. While the grounds were undeniably beautiful, the overall atmosphere felt a bit disjointed. Aside from one of the vineyard workers and the gate guard, who were both warm and welcoming, the rest of the staff came across as somewhat distant. The experience lacked the hospitality and cohesion we had hoped for.
