Was looking for a one night hotel stay on the way from Boston to Saranac Lake, NY, and found the Marriott Burlington on Hotels.com and it was close by, so I booked here, and it was a great stay. Even though there was big wedding reception going on and the hotel was quite busy, check-in was quick. My room was excellent and quiet. After a great night's sleep and before checking out, I had a great breakfast in the restaurant with many hot and cold choices. My pick was scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Everything was hot and delicious. Service was excellent from check-in to check out and the restaurant everyone was helpful and friendly. I would stay here again and definitely recommend it.
Nice clean hotel in a safe location with plenty of good restaurants nearby and a good restaurant in the hotel itself. The desk staff was great in correcting a billing issue. The breakfast omelette is the best ever, I would stay again for the omelette. One small issue is the 9th floor AC struggles to keep cool on 98 degree days
I normally don’t give reviews, but we are pretty turned off by our stay here. Would not stay here again. Staff was rude (bartenders, restaurant manager, housekeeper), except for the front desk and the man/server in the breakfast area. They do not allow outside food or drink in the lounge, yet barely have any seating in the area you are “allowed” to eat and drink in. There is a couch and two arm chairs. Not very accommodating for eating. If they are going to give you an issue with bringing outside food/drink into the lounge, they should have a larger permitted area for you to sit and eat/drink. The lounge was half empty every night anyway. The first day we were there and sat in the lounge, a woman employee came over to us and made it a point to say we can’t have outside food or drink there, yet we had no outside food and purchased drinks from the bar. The little store in the lobby where you can buy snacks, etc. was dirty. Gnats in the microwave, and the microwaves looked they they’ve never been cleaned. As far as the room, it’s your normal hotel room. Smelled musty. The bathroom door is awful. It’s a sliding door with frosted glass. When closed, there is a space between the wall and the door where you can see in. No privacy. Not soundproof at all. Housekeeping was supposed to tend to our room every day, but did not, and we did not have the do not disturb sign on the door. Had to go to the front desk about it, then the housekeeper came, but didn’t do much. Didn’t even make the bed, just pulled the blankets up. This place may be good for others, but not for us. We were there with a lot of people for a baseball tournament. All previous hotels we’ve stayed at, no issues. This hotel should not be a recommended hotel for baseball tournament families.
