My wife and I stayed in this hotel for a week whilst in Oaxaca, it was amazing. The location is great, walking distance to literally everything in the city and the staff are so helpful and nice, providing lots of tips. The hotel itself, is so unique and fun. Really cool design and the rooms are spacious and match the vibe of Oaxaca perfectly. Not to mention the amazing pastries, which are on par with anything I have had before. Plus the morning breakfast.. epic Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful stay here, it felt like staying with family. Such a thoughtfully designed space/rooms. Incredible value when you factor in the rich breakfast, amazing fresh bread throughout the day and *incredible* rooftop terrace with beautiful plants. We did not take advantage, but you can order off the Boulenc cafe menu throughout the day or have the staff request a reservation. The staff were so kind and helpful during and even before our stay. As others have mentioned, it is in a slightly lovely neighborhood but the time mostly face the interior courtyard so we slept well. Highly recommend!
We loved everything about it. The staff were extremely helpful, warm and welcoming. We arrived very early by night bus and were welcomed into the hotel by the housekeeping staff, who even offered us an early breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and nutritious - eggs cooked as you prefer, fresh fruit, DELICIOUS fresh bread and pastries, straight from the adjacent bakery (also Boulenc). All enjoyed on the serene roof terrace with city and hillside views. The decor is impeccable, extremely tasteful and making the hotel a very pleasant place to be. Ideally located in centro, just a 10 minute stroll in either direction to the Santo Domingo cathedral and main square. Great for an evenings stroll to soak up the sights and sounds of Oaxaca at night. The staff gave us great recommendations and were happy to organise transport whenever we needed it. The only downside was the sound from the road - but earplugs were provided as a solution to this! All in all, we highly recommend a stay at Boulenc, you will be really impressed!
