Boutique Hotel Ba Ren

Stayed for two nights with my family. The staff was wonderful, especially Linda and Chris. They went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We stayed on the top floor. Be aware that the building is a few hundred years old, and people were shorter then. I am 188 cm tall, and the ceiling was close in the shower and a couple of other spots. Room footprint was very comfortable and spacious. Of note, there is construction of a new hotel going on behind the Baren. This did not interfere with our visit much, but worth mentioning. The new hotel is related to the Baren and looks like it will be amazing. Would return.

The hotel is a real charm, rooms are cozy and comfy. Food is great and the bar area at the Baren and the fire are very special . What made it the best holiday overall was most of all every single staff member who was kind and helpful and wonderful !!

My friend and I stayed at this hotel during the COVID pandemic. I normally don’t bother writing reviews on Google Maps, but I’m making an exception here because even four years later, this place still stands out as the most unpleasant and unprofessional hotel we’ve ever encountered in Switzerland. The experience was so bad that it left a lasting negative impression, which says a lot considering how much time has passed.
