Boutique Hotel de Drentse Liefde

This was the 3rd or 4th time in this hotel. And I know for sure more visits will follow. It's very cozy and you have the feeling you are welcome. Lots of personal attention. The owner spent a lot of time on details.

We loved this place! This little hidden gem was our favorite and most memorable place to stay in all of Europe and the UK. As part of a 2 month trip, my friend and I unicycled (yes, only one wheel and yes, with all our gear) across the Netherlands and stayed one night at this hotel. I wish we could have stayed longer, it made quite the impression on us. Each room has a theme and our room was the Ram room, featuring a super funky ram lamp and a ram mural filling one full wall. It also had a vintage record player and records that we enjoyed listening to as we sipped our complementary drinks from the mini fridge. We loved finding all the little quirks around this place, like the ostrich head decor, the mouse door painting and the bathroom with 50 different kinds of toilet paper to choose from. Every detail is unique. Our host was super nice, she gave us free drinks, candy and let us store our unicycles and gear in the garage overnight. Staying here wasn't just comfortable and clean, it was also an experience in and of itself. Just around the corner from this boutique is also a really amazing artisan bread and cheese place that we loved. Thank you so much!

One of the most beautiful boutique hotels we've ever had the pleasure of staying in. The rooms are just fantastic, so much attention paid to the small details to ensure a perfect stay. Breakfast was sublime, we felt completely pampered. We'll definitely be back.
