I use to stay at Gautier twice a year it was always “ok” not great but Ok ! The area is nice and the patio is really nice. However for my last trip i arrived at the hotel after a 9h flight and found out that they rebook my room and book me another (crapy) hotel. The reception staff were not helpful not to say useless and on top of that absolutely not trying to help.

Couldn't be worse. The smell the room condition. No fridge. The stairs that faces you everywhere after leaving the elevator. The tiniest elevator ever. HOW COME IT IS 4 STARS HOTEL. 2 stars are more than enough. The breakfast is so 👎🏼👎🏼 let alone the hygiene and cleanliness 😷🤢. THE LAST NIGHT OF our stay the air conditioner went off. NO BODY BOTHERD TO FIX IT. NO APOLOGIEY WHATS SO EVER. THE MOST SO INDIFFERENCE I HAVE EVER MET. I WISH THERE WAS LESS THAN A STARS

Cancelled hours before arrival: We reserved a room at Hotel Gauthier Casablanca for our first family trip to Morokko via booking.com months in advance. At the travel day, on the way to the airport, we received a message that they're overbooked and cancelled our reservation, just stating, "Don't worry, you won't be charged." Imagine arriving 11pm a night with a child in a country that you don't know, and suddenly you don't have a place to sleep, even though you booked months in advance. We managed to book an alternative hotel via the phone on the taxi to the airport, but we had to pay double to what our original reservation had cost. Booking.com kept promising compensation but then simply closed the message thread. A week after this incident, we are still waiting for any type of apology or compensation. I don't know how the hotel thinks it is acceptable to leave a family with a child on the street despite a reservation
