I stayed in May 2025 with a tour group. The hotel was great. Breakfast had a wide variety of offerings. The location was convenient, with easy access to the Metro and the free bus #1 to the train station and art museums. The staff were very helpful when I had a debilitating episode of vertigo on the morning of my departure. Their on-call physician came to my room and assisted getting me to the hospital by taxi. Although they were fully booked, the hotel staff offered to let me stay the night. Fortunately, treatment at the hospital let me proceed with my trip.
I stayed here expecting at least the basics, but unfortunately, the air conditioning was barely working. The room was unbearably hot, and I couldn’t sleep until 3 AM because of the heat. I reported the issue, but nothing was resolved during my stay. It’s unacceptable for a hotel to offer rooms without functioning AC, especially in this climate. Definitely not coming back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, especially during the summer.
The hotel offers many positive aspects, contributing to a very pleasant stay overall. We loved the perfect location with its easy city access. The room size was surprisingly good for the city center, and it was spotlessly clean. The bar staff made us feel very welcome! However, there were a couple of areas that fell short of expectations. While the advertised pictures of the entrance show a light and bright reception area, the reality upon entering felt considerably darker, which didn't create the welcoming first impression we anticipated. Additionally, the breakfast experience was disappointing. We found the price to be high for what was offered, and the staff service during breakfast felt abrupt and unwelcoming, giving the distinct impression of being rushed. These specific points, particularly the breakfast experience and the difference in the entrance's appearance compared to the photos, regrettably led to a slightly lower overall rating of 3 and impacted the overall staff score, despite the positive aspects of our stay.
