Boutique Hotel in Quito Hotel Casona 1914

Casona 1914 was a fantastic hotel, centrally located in Quito near many major attractions; old town, basilica, subway. Staff were very attentive, property very clean and well kept, beds soft and comfy, and on site restaurant was delicious as was the included breakfast.

Diego & Mariel made us feel so at from the first moment we stepped into the hotel. My friends & I stayed here for 2 nights while in Quito & we all agree it was one of the highlights of the trip. Breakfast is served in a beautiful wood paneled room that over looks the outside patio. Each room is very quiet & some comfortable. They go above & beyond to help with anything you need. I actually ended up staying one more night on the back end of my trip & was a bit sick with a super late flight the next day. Not only did they allow me to stay but Mariel made special tea to help with sickness & I was able to stay in bed & rest all day.

What a beautiful, historic, amazing diamond in the rough boutique hotel! It is on the edge of historic Quito, but we'll within walking distance to both historic plaza as well as Alameda strip. Diego & staff were lovely, so helpful. The historic preservation is beautiful, with all amenities needed. Such incredible dining for breakfast (we didn't enjoy dinner here). Parking just around the corner was easy-if you have a car. We stayed elsewhere at a different point in our trip & wish we'd have stayed here instead!
