The exceptional location was the primary reason for my two-night stay in April 2025. Old Town Riga offers a vibrant atmosphere, ideal for exploration both during the day and at night. The hotel is conveniently within walking distance all over the Old Town. Riga Station is about 15 minutes through the cobble streets. However, for those with luggage, a Bolt ride to the hotel is around EUR 5, taking only five minutes. The accommodations were comfortable, with my room on the 5th floor providing an excellent view. The bathroom was modern, spacious, and well-equipped with toiletries. The bed was comfy and the linen were clean and fresh. The breakfast, included in the rate, was truly outstanding. Due to an early departure for the airport at 4 a.m., the manager demonstrated exceptional service by ensuring that transportation was arranged in advance. Additionally, she personally handed me a thoughtfully prepared breakfast pack at that early hour. Having stayed at numerous hotels, I must commend Hotel Justus for delivering truly exceptional customer care. I extend my sincere gratitude to the entire team for their efforts.
There is really nothing wrong with this hotel. It's beautifully set up and stylish, right in the centre of Riga's old town. My room was spacious, very comfortable and (after I asked for it) faced a quiet backyard, which is important in this area. Staff were nice, breakfast was good, though the breakfast area (as is so often the case with tourist hotels) was cramped, crowded and noisy. The place is excellent value, too. When I checked out, the hotel entrance was utterly blocked by a huge, rowdy, annoying and very clueless cruise ship group who wouldn't move a centimetre even after I asked politely (several times). Not the hotel's fault of course, but if you stay in downtown Riga in summer, you should generally be prepared for all kinds of places to be flooded by the super-obnoxious cruise ship crowds. Nonetheless, this hotel is very warmly recommended.
Great hotel with a medieval feel to it, stayed for a night and it was great. Not too far from city center and lots of great bars and restaurants in the area. The staff was helpful and provided great service. Only downside was that there was to few tables for breakfast so we had to wait for someone else to finish. Would recommend for your stay at Riga
