Boutique Hotel Vissi d'Arte

This hotel deserves more than 5 stars. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to ensure we felt comfortable. The entire property was spotless: everything from the lobby to the room was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Service throughout our stay was attentive and professional, with every request handled promptly and with a smile. The location is perfect — close to everything in Budva. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We booked this hotel for the start of our Montenegro trip so that I could teach my girlfriend to swim in their beautiful pool, naturally we were hugely disappointed on arrival to learn that they did not have a pool. The blame for this error was put squarely onto their IT team however from reading other reviews from over two years ago I can see this was no ‘accidental post’. There is no pool but they use images of one to secure room sales and have done so for some time. This is dishonest. Suffice to say it was the seductive image of a swimming pool that led us to booking Hotel Vissi D’Arte and this should not have been part of their online listing. This major and continued oversight in advertising the hotel property, due perhaps to the hotel not monitoring its own listing on Google, meant we felt like we weren’t getting what we paid for, we would have very likely booked somewhere else. The room was decent enough although for such a sunny climate and the price point I was surprised that the curtains in the rooms did not block sunlight so you are quite literally up at dawn each day. There were some nice touches like fresh fruit on arrival and the staff did their best for us but the disappointment continued. Another failing I’m afraid to say was the partnering of the hotel with local businesses. You normally expect a five star hotel to be able to provide some good basic local information on where to go or where to hire a vechicle. At the hotel we were given fixed price information on vehicle hire which we agreed to with the concierge only for a much smaller car to be delivered at an signicantly increased cost. Needless to say this whole transaction with the car hire company was stressful and felt like we were being ripped off, essentially we booked one thing, were told it would be delivered for a given price and that was another promise from the hotel that was not met. In summary Hotel Vissi d’Arte still has a lot to learn about hospitality; the combination of being misled by the way the non existent pool was advertised, the fact the bedrooms didn’t get dark and the stressful and broken promise of a car hire deal means we’d stay elsewhere were we ever to return to Budva, Montenegro.
