The place is as advertised. A very well located sea-side 3 bed, 1 bathroom (plus 1 extra toilet) home - with a great private outdoor area (big decks, bbq, spa and outdoor shower as well). It is also dog friendly (why we booked it) and has a secure garden. It does however fail to deliver in some areas - which I'd like to highlight to people considering staying there. 1. The place only has one aircon in the living area (as advertised) and 1x overhead fan in one bedroom. There are 2x small floor-standing fans as well. Why do I mention this? Well on the 3 hot days we were there, the bedrooms become unbearably hot - and very very uncomfortable. We left after 2 nights - as we supposedly ran the aircon in the living room on too low a temperature for too long - all in an effort to try and make the house and bedrooms barely habitable. This resulted in the A/C stopping to work and spit out ice on day 3. With it being a public holiday the unit could only be serviced the next morning (fair enough) but we weren't spending another night - especially in the absence of any cooling. 2. There are no fly-screens on windows in bedrooms - so opening windows there to try and cool the rooms comes with challenges 3. The beds are pretty soft - although for some people this may not be an issue. 4. The bathroom shower drain had huge clumps of hair in it - although the rest of the place was clean and well presented. 5. To turn on the spa - there is a hidden switch behind a pot plant on an opposite wall near garage. This may save you 30 mins hunting and a call to the manager Karl - who did let us know where it was. Perhaps it was just our bad luck to get 3x 32 degree plus days in a row - but when you're wanting to stay near the beach it's kind of the weather you want. But as I said above - sleeping in that level of heat and discomfort wasn't fun and certainly (and unfortunately) wasn't a boutique stay.
