Brandon Hall Hotel & Spa

My husband and I stayed to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The staff were very helpful from the very first time we contacted them via email to arrange the booking with Roxanna. Our evening meal in the restaurant was superb. In fact I would say it was the best meal I have had in many years. I highly recommend the herb crusted lamb and both my husband and I agreed that the sticky toffee pudding was pure heaven. Geeva & Gael were very attentive serving staff and very pleasant. We chose to have a few drinks in the bar and again, Ashley the barman was a delight. Attentive, pleasant and friendly. Overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay and we look forward to staying again in future

We had a really nice stay at this hotel. The room we had was a decent size and clean. The hotel is in nice grounds - hence it's a wedding venue. Staff were friendly and hard working. So what if the leisure facilities are in a different building and you have to go outside. The pool is a decent size for swimming lengths and the sauna and steam room were good. Towels were provided. Some of the gym equipment was a bit old but I wouldn't expect necessarily expect top of the range. Location was good for us to explore the local area. We didn't have an evening meal but did have the breakfast and there was a good selection of tasty food. We had no issues and I would definitely recommend.

Visited solo on business in August. The hotel is in a lovely country location, yet close enough to the city to be very useful for day visits l, whether for business or pleasure. The swimming pool is a decent size and was fairly quiet when I visited, straight after opening ok the morning. The room: whilst comfortable and quiet, the room was very basic and in need of some modernisation. The food: I dined here with a friend for dinner and the food was very nice, albeit a little ok the higher price point. Breakfast was a standard hot & continental buffet. Perfectly acceptable and tasty, but nothing exceptional to write about. There is copious free parking outside and a large bar area with outside seating. Overall I would stay again if in the area, but would suggest modernising some of the rooms.
