Brandon House Hotel

Could not fault this place except for a mix up on our booking and the way we were made feel. We requested a cot bed on the phone a few days before arriving, was told it would be no problem but then there was none available when we arrived, we were kind of made to feel this was our fault as we didn’t initially note it on the booking which is true, we only remembered a few days before. Anyway this made our sleep for the 2 nights a bit uncomfortable and not ideal as our 2 year old then had to sleep in the bed with us. Even if we were told on the phone there was none we could have borrowed one from a friend for the weekend but the attitude was not at all helpful. The room though was really lovely -and we found the housekeeping staff very friendly and helpful on the way, chatting and laughing with the children. My wife did have to call down to reception for some extra supplies later in the evening as no one was answering the phone and she felt staff there were very rude and again she was made feel like a hindrance for a second time there. Aside from that the food was fantastic, we had the family meal deal on the first night, great value and ideal for a fun meal. Next night we ate from the bar menu, it was all very tasty and the portions were great. The staff in the bar are amazing, they literally cannot do enough for you and were fantastic with the children especially Eowyn. Breakfast was one of the best we have ever had in a hotel. The quality and choice on offer is really amazing, the kids loved the smoothies and the waffle toppings area, a real treat….. our son said he would come back to this hotel a million times for breakfast and again the staff here, Conor in particular were brilliant. The pool area and kids club were also a big hit with great activities such as mini cooking and movie night. So yea overall despite a few of the staff needing some extra customer service skills we would recommend this hotel.

Just returned after a two night stay with my family. We had a brilliant time at the Brandon. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. We last stayed there 2 years ago and were looking forward to a return stay. The room was perfect a generous size with two singles and a king size bed. The playground was very much appreciated as was the pool in the leisure centre. The breakfast was as good as we had remembered it, for evening meals we ate in the bar this time. The bar has been completely revamped and the menu was varied and food was great including an impressive kids menu . We were looked after really well by Fran both nights. She was really great with chatting to our toddler daughter and making recommendations from the menu. The Brandon is only down the road from us but already looking forward to returning for another stay.

I went here for Spa day with my best friend and afternoon tea it was our first time coming here and everything from the location to the scenery to the hotel itself was absolutely wonderful, it was such a nice relaxing and welcoming place and really worth the visit as I was also pregnant and wanted a relaxing visit. Our spa day included the thermal suite and facial treatments which we prepaid for and everything was absolutely top notch. From being greeted at reception to the the wonderful array of afternoon tea food, I cannot fault this experience and would definitely come again and maybe experience dinner next time. Keep it up!! Your staff are wonderful and your hotel is definitely worth visiting.
